Our Story
Soul's Sanctuary was founded by Shennan Scott after the transition of her daughter, who passed away at eighteen years old, five days before her prom. In the decade that followed, our founder moved through her own long, guided passage through grief and found that no place existed built specifically to hold a mother, or any woman, through loss.
Over ten years, she trained across plant medicine, spiritual healing, birth doula work, grief doula work, yoni steam practice, and crown work, building a practice rooted in both lived experience and formal study. Soul's Sanctuary is the place she needed and could not find: now built so other women do not have to grieve alone.
Since 2019, she has served over 200 women. We are dedicated to providing a sanctuary for restoration through spiritual healing, doula-supported grief work, and connection to the land so that no woman has to walk through profound loss without a place built to hold her.
